The traning was attended by representatives of SBA-South, SBA Hum-Foča, SBA -Trebinje, SBA–Doljani, SBA-Bosansko Grahovo, SBA-Gradiška, SBA-Dobrljin, SBA-Neum, SBA-Višegrad, Police Dept.-Čapljina, as well as by the anti-traffiking officers from the OSCE Mission-Sarajevo. The specific aim of the training was prevention of traffiking in human beings/women from the aspect of illegal migration.

National Coordinator of La Strada BaH retrospected the history of La Strada BaH, as well as of La Strada International, its structure, methodology and all three campaigns implemented within the programme of prevention of traffiking in women «La Strada IV»; moreover, «La Strada V» was inroduced. She particularly mentioned new trafficking roads, current trends, cooperation between NGO La Strada BaH and governmental institutions, especially with SBA. She emphasized the utmost importance of decriminalisation of traffiking victims, their access to medical, social and psychological assistanceat the institutions specialized for those services. Furthermore, other issues were stressed, such as access of traffiking victims to the information in regard to their human rights, their involvement in process of economic empowerment of female population aiming at prevention of trafficking in women and their possible revictimisation.
The porousness of BaH borders was stressed during the discussion as one of the key problems concerning the control of illegal migration by governmentak institutions. Another problem that was mentioned was an increased demand for «services» of trafficking victims (weeken tourism) during Summer months. Moreover, there are indicators that many persons who crossed borders in a legal way, still were trafficking victims.
Through the brainstorming exercises the participants of the training had an opportunity to give suggestions and recommendations for optimal solutions aiming in order to reach high level of efficiency in combat against trafficking in women.
The target of the training was entirely acchievd through several smartly designed exercises and games, aiming at team work with an active involvement of each member within the groups.
Based on the evaluation of the training by its participants, it was concluded that it was emplemented professionally and that there should be more similar trainings for more participants.
The date of the next training was agreed between La Strada BaH and the representatives of some SBA.
