8th of March Campaign 2008
Activities carried out within the 8th of March Campaign
- 300 roses were distributed in Mostar and in Sarajevo by our volunteers – young men who are members of our peer groups
- production and distribution of informative material (key and mobile phone holders-long, caps, t-shirts, posters, booklets, key holders –short). Informative material was also distributed throughout BiH by our volunteers (Mostar, Sarajevo, Visoko, Gorazde, Derventa, Bugojno, Gornji Vakuf, Zenica, Banja Luka…). Informative material beard Mama Cash logo.
- Round Table discussions on the subject: “Human rights are also Women’s rights – lets respect them 365 days a year” were held in Derventa RS on 5 March, Visoko on 7 March and 8 March u Mostar. Participants were representatives of Social Centres, various Ministries, Health Institutions, primary and high schools. Before the beginning of discussions LS BiH thanked Mama Cash for being a donor of this campaign. Round tables were very successful, lot of questions were raised by our guests and they also actively participated in discussions.
- A reception was held at Hotel “ERO” in Mostar. The reception was inaugurated by the Mayor of Mostar Mr. Ljubo Beslic and LS BiH National Coordinator Ms. Fadila Hadzic. The reception was attended by numerous representatives of GO and NGO Sector as well as BiH citizens. During the speech it was also mentioned that Mama Cash was a donor of this campaign.
- As a part of this campaign LS BiH promotes a TV spot on BiH media, which illustrates the chain of trafficking and a possible way out of the problem. The SOS phone number of LS BiH (1261) has been advertised. The TV spot will be broadcast on BH TV and Hayat Mreza Plus (broadcast in BiH, Region and most of European countries via satellite) during the month of March.
- LS BiH Coordinator Ms Fadila Hadzic gave an interview to the abovementioned TV houses in which she promoted activities pertaining to this campaign. She also spoke about respect of human rights and women’s rights in general.
