These trainings were a continuation of close cooperation between La Strada BaH and SBA, and they were organized upon request by chief of SBA Regional Office-Višegrad, who participated in the earlier training for SBA that was held in November 2005 in Neum.
The training in December 2005 was an opportunity for many SBA officers from Zvornik, Višegrad and other offices from the region of Estern Bosnia, to learn more about the work of La Strada BaH, as well as to create recommendations for optimal solutions aiming at raising high level of efficiency in the field of comtatting traffikining in human beings-women from the aspect of illegal migrations.
Through exercises and role plays aimimg at improvement of team work, the target of the trainings was entirely achieved. Beside the great interest of the participants to attend an advanced training on the same subject, it was stressed that more colleagues should be involved in such educations.
Two advanced trainings were held in Višegrad on 6 February and 7 February 2006. They were attended by total of 43 participants.. These trainings were targeted at improvement of interviewing skills, which should enable SBA officers to interview potential/actual trafficking victims. This wa a kind of introduction of so called advanced trainings, based on entirely new exercises and role plays that La Strada BaH has developed in order to leave more space for active work of participants.
The participants themselves showed a significant level of team work skills, which was particularly apparent during simulation exercises. In the end of the trainings the participants were received material which should ease their work while interviewing trafficking victims.
